The City’s Department of Public Works provides maintenance on all publicly-owned streets, storm sewer infrastructure, grounds, facilities and public equipment. In addition, the Department oversees 15 continuing services contracts that provide technical expertise that the City does not possess in-house.

The Public Works/Public Safety Committee’s role is to identify and review various public works and safety issues and make recommendations to City Council. In addition, this committee also serves as the community’s Surtax Advisory Board
