"At the moment that we persuade a child, any child, to cross that threshold, that magic threshold into a library, we change their lives forever, for the better. It's an enormous force for good."

Summer Reading Program 2018: LIBRARIES ROCK!

Summer at the Destin Library is getting turned up to eleven this year! From May to July we'll be jammin' in the stacks, and we want you there with us. A full schedule of events is coming soon, so don't touch that dial!

There will be two weekly reading programs: one for ages 1-5, and one for ages 6-12. Tuesdays will be tech days, with a program for rising 1st-4th graders in the morning, and one for rising 5th-8th graders in the afternoon. There will also be several weekly programs offered in partnership with local educational organizations. Special concerts and activities will be held throughout the summer.

The Robolympics will return this year with all new challenges and a special Boot Camp class to help competitors prepare! Children in grades 5 and up are eligible to compete.

Registration for participation in the weekly reading programs is recommended; registration is required for the weekly partner programs, STEAM programs, Robolympics, and the special events. Registration links will be made available in May.
