Library Membership

Okaloosa County Residents or Property Owners

Free library cards are issued to residents or property owners in Okaloosa County. A Destin Library card entitles you to full services at all 6 libraries in the Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative. Photo ID, proof of current street address (such as lease agreement or utility bill) and contact telephone numbers are required to obtain a library card. Parents may apply for library cards for their school-aged children and are responsible for all materials checked out on their cards. Students with a current driver license may apply for their own card.

Non-Residents

Minimal fees are charged to out of county patrons and seasonal visitors. Out of county patrons that live the Panhandle Library Access Network (PLAN) counties (Santa Rosa, Walton, Escambia, Holmes, Washington, etc.) will be charged $40 for a full-year membership. Unless you are an Okaloosa County property owner, seasonal visitors outside of PLANs service area will be charged $30 per person for a seasonal membership, or $60 per person for a full-year membership. This entitles you to full use of our facility as well as other Okaloosa County libraries. Special policies apply for international students. Please call us at 837-8572 for more information.

Military
