Destin, Fla. – On Tuesday, January 22nd, the City of Destin adopted an ordinance that limits the number of overnight occupants of each short-term rental home in the city to two people per bedroom, plus an additional four people, with an overall cap on overnight occupancy at 24 people. To bring the application and review processes up-to-date, The Community Development Department has streamlined the short-term rental process and registration on the City of Destin website. For those who wish to register their home as a rental or are currently doing so may visit www.cityofdestin.com/rentals. The site will offer a step-by-step process on how to register, forms to complete, fees and application for grandfathering. There will also be an FAQ available which will answer commonly asked questions regarding the changes to the short-term rental ordinance.
