“Mr. Mac” To Support Summer Reading Program at Destin Library

On Friday, July 26th at 3:00 pm, Michael “Mr. Mac” McCartan will be at the Destin Library to promote the library’s 2019 summer reading program: A Universe of Stories!

Michael McCartan is better known as “Mr. Mac” to thousands of children along the Emerald Coast. McCartan is a multi-dimensional musician and educator whose songs encourage kids to “get moving” and “never stop reading.” McCartan, who is from Escambia County, Florida, is a physical education teacher who has also become a much-loved music ambassador for children of all ages. McCartan continues to teach but also travels the country introducing songs to children in his effort to promote staying fit and active.
